The captain of the German national padel team, Fabian Schmidt, has been in Australia for some time for professional reasons. Fortunately, he has taken his padel rackets with him and is busy playing tournaments down under.

This weekend he could win a FIP 100 tournament, the Sydney Masters, together with his partner Matt Thomas. This tournament win was already the 3rd title in a row he could win in Australia. In the final they beat Marious Zelda and Emeric Navarro 7:6 and 6:4.

This third padel triumph in a row has enabled Fabian to move up to 82nd place in the current padel world rankings!

We congratulate him on this outstanding performance and would be happy to see him play in Germany again soon!
