Results of the 4th YOORNA Open in Estepona
The 4th YOORNA Open, organised by Yoorna Padel and Padel-Test.de on the course of La Mesa in Estepona, were able to successfully join the previous series of tournaments and were pleased about 240 participating players who fought in 8 categories over 3 days for the crown in the respective category.
In category 1 there were 4 professional teams who used the opportunity to prepare for the upcoming Pro Tour. To provide practice in competition.
The final was a bit of a surprise as the Ruiz/Rubio team came from 0-6 down to beat Godo Diaz/Eslava 6-1 6-3.
Approx. 200 spectators saw Godo Diaz as number 22 in the WPT rankings in the first sentence The young stars Gonzalo Rubio (No.49 of the WPT) and Javier Ruiz (No.59 of the WPT) got better and better into the game and finally deserved to win.
Among the participants was also a small colony of German participants who visibly enjoyed the great padel spectacle and the excellent catering by the organiser.
We are therefore already looking forward to the 5th YOORNA Open, which will most probably take place in northern climes again.
