GPS Tournaments 2017 - the road to Lisbon!
The German Padel Association (DPV), as organiser of the German Padel Series (GPS), the most important padel tournament series in Germany, has already successfully hosted two major tournaments in Cologne and Berlin in 2017.
But most of the GPS tournaments are still to come. 14 more GPS tournaments to the previous two are already firmly planned and a few more, which will take place in the second half of the year, will be added shortly.
For the start of the summer season, the GPS series goes to the far north.
There is a GPS-100 in Bremen on 10 June and just one week later there is a GPS-1000 in Hamburg from 16 to 18 June. Then the following week there is a GPS-500 tournament in Munich (24-25 June) and on the first weekend in July there is a GPS-500 in Berlin at the Reinickendorfer Füchsen.
So there are a few tournaments within a few weeks - even as a spectator you start to sweat!
But that's not all!
Thanks to the support of the DPV sponsors, there are also really good prizes to be won:
GPS 100 = non-cash prizes from Dunlop
GPS 250 = non-cash prizes from Dunlop
GPS 500 = 100,- Euro for the winning pair, 50,- Euro for the runners-up, 25,- Euro for the third placed, material prizes from Dunlop
GPS 1000 = 200,- Euro for the winning pair, 100,- Euro for the runners-up, 50,- Euro for the third-placed pair, 2 vouchers for freely selectable Padel shoes from Head for the winning pair
GPS 1200 = 300,- Euro for the winning pair, 150,- Euro for the runners-up, 100,- Euro for the third-placed pair, 2 vouchers for freely selectable Padel shoes from Head for the winning pair
But even more important than the many prizes are the points that can be won.
Because these are the basis for the nomination for the German Padel National Team, which the DPV sets up as a member of the International Padel Federation (FIP).
At least three GPS tournaments must be played in 2017 to enable a squad nomination. And, of course, points have to be collected accordingly, because the extended squad will already be nominated in August to then prepare for the European Championships in Lisbon in mid-November under the eyes of the new national coach (coming soon!).

Hint:
Further GPS tournaments as well as 3 more FIP tournaments (five FIP tournaments in total) are already being planned for 2017. These will also be announced on this page shortly.
With this, the DPV is continuously expanding its offer (in addition to the GPS series, the four regional championships and the German championship will take place in autumn) for the growing number of German and international padel tournament players.
Sponsors:
The prizes in kind will be donated by Dunlop Padel and Head Padel posed.
The cash prizes are provided by Padel-Test.de.
The ball sponsor of the GPS series is Head.
