Padel at the Olympics? Padel Olympia!

When will padel become an Olympic discipline?

Olympic rings

Olympics - soon with padel?

I'm sure many padel players have asked themselves this question. There are so many sports that are only played professionally by a few athletes worldwide (e.g. like skeleton) and are part of the Olympic programme.

So why is padel tennis not an Olympic sport, even though padel is played by millions of athletes and is currently the fastest growing racquet sport in the world? A fair question!

But other sports also want to become Olympic disciplines and are fighting for it. That's why there are constant changes to the sports at the Olympics. At the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, baseball and softball will be included again (last time in 2008). Karate, skateboarding, sport climbing and surfing are new.

Maybe padel will make it to the 2024 Olympics in Paris or the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

In any case, the Padel World Federation FIP a lot for padel to become Olympic:
