Padelworld Bochum: Impact for Padel in Bochum
padelworld BochumGermany's largest outdoor padel facility opens in Bochum on the last weekend in September
After three years of planning and eight weeks of construction, padelworld Bochum will open on 26 September 2020 on the tennis court of SV Langendreer 04.
"I feel like after the last game of a Bundesliga season with VfL Bochum 1848, and we have secured our place in the league at the very last second," is how Marcel Maltritz describes his emotional state. The former professional footballer has fought hard for three years to ensure that the Spanish popular sport can now be played in Bochum.
"Unlike tennis, padel is very quick and easy to learn," explains the 41-year-old founder. "When I played padel myself for the first time four years ago, I was immediately enthusiastic about this sport, it never let me go".
On the opening weekend, as many visitors as possible should be given the chance to experience this fascination for themselves and try out padel for free.
On Saturday, 26 September, all interested parties are cordially invited to swing the padel racket from 3 - 9 pm. From Sunday, 27 September, the outdoor courts can be booked regularly. "To ensure that everything runs smoothly, we ask you to register in advance by e-mail (anmeldung@padelworld-bochum.de).
The Padel rackets and Padel balls are provided free of charge in compliance with hygiene rules, sports clothing and sports shoes should be brought along," says Marcel Maltritz about the procedure. Further information at www.padelworld-bochum.de and on Facebook @padelworld.Bochum
As a special opening offer, padelworld Bochum is offering a 10-person card for the price of 50 euros.
Until 31.12.2020, 10 x 1 hour games can be played on the Am Leithenhaus course in Bochum.
