High-performance padel was on offer at two locations this weekend: both in Cologne at the facility of Walls-Padelbox as well as in Berlin, the yellow felt balls were beaten up in the most violent way!
The first Walls Playdays 2017 took place in Cologne.
All matches were at a high level and provided strong emotions for players and spectators. In the end, the favoured teams prevailed and so Panske/Enz and de Groot/Mann faced each other in the final.
In the end, Panske/Enz won 6:4 and 6:4 in a high-class match. In the second set, however, the last games were constantly back and forth. With a little more luck, de Groot and Mann could have won the set and forced an extra time into the third set. Perhaps it was the carefree attitude of the 17-year-old Argentinian Enz and the great defensive reflexes of Panske that tipped the scales in favour of the youngsters.
The winners were definitely also the spectators, who saw the best game of the tournament here in the final.
A number of strong matches were also on the schedule in Berlin
At this GPS and FIP tournament of the German Padel Association the duo Verhagen/Maarsen from the Netherlands won the final against Pietierse (South Africa) and Barragana (Brazil) with 6:4 and 6:0 - in the end the Dutch were just too strong.
The padel tournament, which also awarded world ranking points, took place on the course of the Padel Club Berlin held.
