Padel balls

Padel balls: What are padel balls? And what is the difference to tennis balls? Padel balls are almost the same size as tennis balls. However, the air pressure is slightly lower with padel balls. Apart from that, everything else is the same: rubber on the inside, felt on the outside. This is why padel balls are slower than tennis balls. At first glance, padel balls are therefore almost indistinguishable from tennis balls.

However, you can see the difference when you drop two balls at the same time. The padel ball does not bounce quite as high as the tennis ball.

The standard colour of padel tennis balls is yellow. Of course, a padel ball is also available in other colours, e.g. for training purposes. But for padel tournaments, the official yellow felt balls are used.

The diameter of a padel ball should be between 6.35 and 6.67 cm. The weight of a padel ball should be between 56.0 and 59.4 grams. Of course, this is also all in the Padel rules regulated.

Among the Padel outfitters there are many that also have padel balls in their range.

Padel balls - difference to tennis balls

Also for tennis, the diameter of the balls must be between 6.35 and 6.67 cm. The weight of the tennis balls must be between 56.7 and 58.5 g.

This means that the minimum weight is above padel balls and the maximum weight is below paddle balls.
